Deemed universities are basically autonomous universities whose counseling and admission is done by Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

  • There will be four rounds of counselling i.e. Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round & Stray Vacancy Round.
    • Out of the four rounds, three rounds will be conducted online by MCC i.e. Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-Up Round.
    • The Stray Vacancy round shall be conducted by the respective Deemed Universities for which the list of registered Candidates for the Stray Vacancy round will be forwarded by the MCC to the respective Deemed Universities.

Eligibility criteria

  • Must qualify 10+2 with core subjects like: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, having 50 % aggregate marks or more.
  • Minimum age should be 17 years as on December 31st 2022

Counseling procedure

  • Register and pay the registration fee on the MCC web portal to participate in the counseling process.
  • Enlist preference of course and institute in which candidates wish to get admission.
  • Based on the choices filled, NEET scores, reservation criteria, seats accessible and different perspectives the admission to Deemed University will be granted.
  • Candidates who have been allotted a seat will be required to report at the said institute along with their documents.
  • A mop up round is also organized by the authority, in case there are seats left vacant after the conclusion of round one and two.

Documents required

  • NEET UG admit card 2022
  • NEET 2022 result
  • Date of Birth Certificate (if Matric Certificate does not bear the same)
  • Marksheet of Class 10 and 12
  • Eight Passport size photographs (same as provided on the application form)
  • Provisional allotment letter issued online
  • A valid ID proof (Aadhar/ PAN/ Driving Licence/ Passport)
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • PwD Certificate (if applicable)

Reservation Policy

  • The Candidates claiming under NRI category have to submit the following documents as and when the same are called for by the MCC:
    • Documents claiming that the sponsorer is an NRI (Passport, Visa of the sponsorer).
    • Relationship of NRI with the candidate as per the court orders of The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in case W.P.(c) No. 689/2017- Consortium of Deemed Universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Ans. Vs Union of India & Ors. dated 22- 08- 2017.
    • Affidavit from the sponsorer that he/ she will sponsor the entire course fee of the candidate duly notarized.
    • Embassy Certificate of the Sponsorer (Certificate from the Consulate).
    • NEET Score Card of the candidate.
  • There will be no reservation for OBC/ SC/ ST/ PWD/EWS candidates in Deemed Universities.
  • There might be reservation for Jain Minority or Muslim Minority in certain deemed universities. Candidates are requested to verify their eligibility for the same before applying under the said category.
